Hi, this is Daisy, a loyal caregiver of animals, plants, and humans. She loves to adventure in nature with her pack, but she equally enjoys being a sloth and napping with her dog and two cats. Daisy’s is happiest when she is working in the soil on a farm where she can help the veggies and flowers thrive. She is originally from Pennsylvania and currently lives in California. Daisy’s a hobbit at heart and thrives during the Halloween season.
Vinny

Meet Vinny whose magnetic personality will capture you as he approaches life with an authenticity for fun & hard work that is always aimed at benefiting all. Although he has a tough exterior, he’s a big softie with a one-of-a-kind sense of humor. Growing up in Pennsylvania, Vinny ventured out to Oregon where currently lives. Outside of work you’ll see Vinny at comedy shows, on the slopes, or at music festivals.
Alicia

Hey everyone, this is Alicia! Her passion is introducing people of all ages to the magic of spending time in nature. Earlier in Alicia’s journey, she did this through camps in New York where she grew up, and eventually in zoos and nature preserves in Pennsylvania where she now lives. Then Alicia jumped into the world of higher education teaching sustainability, leadership, and outdoor adventures. She loves working with college students and taking them on experiential learning adventures where everyone grows and learns something new about themselves to take with them on their journey. Alicia found kindred spirits in Daisy, Mik, Alex, and Vinny, and together they created the Sustainable Misfits.
Alex

Alex is an Alvernia University graduate and former Americorps member who has spent the last 7 years of his career doing what he does best; talking to people and making friends! Currently, he spends his days teaching nutrition and building food access opportunities in his hometown of Reading, PA. In his free time and on weekends, he builds community a different way... through bartending and creating craft cocktails at a local distillery. Alex enjoys hiking, camping, playing with his cat, moving pianos, rousing games of rock, paper, scissors, and standing way too close to cliff edges to get the best view. 
Mik

Hey everyone! Mik is an avid chocolate chip cookie baker (she has to live up to her name somehow) and dough taste tester. She's often a goofball not taking life too seriously. Mik’s career has led her to experience different food system and environmental education projects throughout the world including Africa, New Hampshire, Vermont, and her home state of Pennsylvania. She is typically testing her fear limit when she runs into them on adventures that is why she kayaks more (which is like twice a year haha). Mik hikes to be with her friends and see the views.
