Location🌲 Program Location: Grand Manan Island, New Brunswick, Canada 🌲 If you are flying, please use the Fredericton, New Brunswick Airport (YFC) and we will pick you up at the airport. 🌲 If you are driving, please meet at the Blacks Harbour Ferry Dock (733 Wallace Cove Road, Blacks Harbour, NB E5G 1H6, Canada). You can leave your car in the parking lot at the ferry dock or you can pay a fee to bring your vehicle with you over to the island. 🌲 Grand Manan Island's population is approximately 2,500 people. 🌲 The island is approximately 20 miles long and takes about 30 minutes to drive from one end to the other.

Trip Highlights🌲 Trek to the many unique natural features on the island like Hole in the Wall. 🌲 Experience the natural beauty and distinctive history of the island. 🌲 Tour the historic Swallowtail Lighthouse. 🌲 Head out on a whale watching tour. 🌲 Take a night hike to view the sunset over Dark Harbor. 🌲 Explore Ross Island during a low tide hike. 🌲 Take a ferry ride to explore Whitehead Island. 🌲 Learn about the fishing industry during an interactive program. 🌲 Engage with community members through service projects across the island.

Schedule at a Glance🌲 Day 1 - Arrive on Grand Manan Island, settle in, eco-retreat tour, orientation, and island driving tour. 🌲 Day 2-6 - Your days will be spent exploring the island through outdoor adventures, community engagement events, education tours, service projects, and free time. 🌲 Day 7 - Departure Day

Accommodations & Food🌲 You will be staying at a sustainable eco-retreat called Castalia Marsh Retreat on Grand Manan Island in one of the unique tiny homes. 🌲 You will be sharing these accommodations with your group members. 🌲 Enjoy delicious meals and good conversation at the retreat's central meeting place called the Gathering Place. 🌲 3 meals/day and snacks are included. 🌲 Towels and bedding are provided. 🌲 Laundry is available onsite for a small fee. 🌲 Wifi is available.

Trip Facilitators🌲 Our Sustainable Misfit staff members are your trip facilitators and will be with you throughout your time on the island. They will be onsite at the eco-retreat and ready to help at any time. 🌲 Your comfort and enjoyment are extremely important to us.

Requirements🌲 If you are coming from outside of Canada, then you must have a passport. 🌲 Basic level of English 🌲 18-25 years old
